The news on the real estate hunt is still barren, although the October searches did almost offer a welcome mat for a few months. I had been hoping for a temporary space for the holiday shoppers to view our offers, and even that did not materialize. I am taking several artists to the Vancouver recycled holiday show, "Check'em off Green" hosted by the Waste Connections star, Terra, and featuring 100 vendors who are presenting gifts and ideas for the complete shopping list.
The event will be held at the Marshall/Luepke Community Center, December 1. In addition to the Cannibals booth, Sylvia Miller is attending, as well as Helvi Smith . Darlene Schaper, Stephen Walter, Selma Grossman, Jason Berlin and several others will have work for sale. If you are able to stop in and support the gallery ,and the artists, the event is being held from ten until three.
I have heard that a few Cannibals have work in the annual Day of the Dead show at the Guardino Gallery this month, and Jeremy Hardie sent in the news that he is at The Press Club, 26th and Clinton (opening night reception 7 PM, Friday Nov. 2). He is our artist of the month! A few images of his work:
